Continuing northeast, the tornado rolled a mobile home and tore the roof off a brick home. Two fatalities occurred in the county. Crossing into Lawrence County, it caused extensive tree damage with numerous hardwood and softwood trees snapped or uprooted. Near Tynes Ainsworth Road, a mobile home was completely destroyed; both occupants died. Extensive damage to trees continued across Marion and Jefferson Davis Counties and the tornado ultimately dissipated to the southwest of Bassfield.[46]
